Bondi Pizza

Ironically – or perhaps not, given the nature of franchising – this restaurant named Bondi Pizza is actually located on Church St, Parramatta. We ended up here because it is new-ish and our intended destination – Kouzina Greco – is closed on Sundays.

The restaurant is rather unassuming from the outside but it was filling up by about 6:30PM and after as much decision making as a quick google for reviews we ended up with a table inside. The interior design is a lot schmancier than expected.

Service was reasonably good and the food was too. I guess at a place like this you just have to order the pizzas. So we did. 3 of them. On a longboard. We were up-sold Arancini balls but in hindsight we didn’t need them. 3 of their pizzas between 4 people is plenty. The salad we ordered sufficed – it was rocket, pear and parmesan. A fresh, welcome change from the cheesy, saucy goodness of the pizzas.

Prosciutto, Bocconcini & Mango Chutney: Freshly sliced prosciutto, pancetta, basil, rocket & bocconcini finished with mango chutney.

Marinated Chargrilled Lamb: Marinated chargrilled lamb fillets, fetta, balsamic onions, diced tomato, rocket, eggplant crisps & our creamy Caesar sauce.

Spinach Pancetta: Goats curd base, spinach, pancetta, mushrooms, roast pumpkin, balsamic onions, fresh tomato, kalamata olives, roasted pinenuts, shaved parmesan, pesto, our tasty BBQ sauce & balsamic glaze.
