Last year Café Alex was the last place we ate at before leaving Vietnam. This year it was one of the first places we ate at. On both occasions the reason for this is they are walking distance from our accommodation and it’s a little bit of something familiar.
The place hasn’t changed much but the menu has had a few additions. I’m not sure if we came on a bad day or standards have dropped because this time around the chicken and pork were both dry and flavourless and seemed to lack the love and attention to detail we observed previously. We’ll give them another shot perhaps trying the fish and chips, Sunday roast or meat pie. The highlight was actually the apple cider. Though new, this is a very welcome development as far as I’m concerned! 🙂
