Despite all of the so called ‘doner kebab’ stands I have been seeing around Hanoi, one thing I did not expect to see was falafel. So when it showed up on a menu I just had to try it. Really good actually, in more of a vegetarian, ‘save the planet’ kind of way rather than in an authentic middle eastern kind of way. A pleasant surprise nonetheless.
