Kueh pie ti is an edible, deep-fried shell that is filled with cooked turnip and carrot, topped with a sweet sauce, ‘crispy bits’, peanut, egg, coriander leaves and garlic chilli.
This was an accidental find in the food centre. Still peckish we wanted something portable and snacky. Such a contrast in textures and temperatures (the shells were still hot) this fresh, inexpensive snack can only be described as FANTASTIC!
