We were on a tight schedule driving in from Queenstown, but we called ahead and managed to reserve some salmon before closing time. We got there just in time. Actually we were a few minutes late but the lovely staff waited around for us 🙂
When we got to the accommodation we fried up the salmon with nothing but salt and pepper and skin side down for a delicious, crispy skin. There was a lavender bush outside of the house so we baked up some pumpkin with that and smashed up some potato. The meal was finished with some Chardonnay for good measure. Delightful.
