One of the things on my to-do list whilst in Vietnam – eating street meat. While this setup may seem primitive, it has all the workings of a good flavour station: dozens of impossibly fresh baguettes, condiments, vegetables, meat over hot charcoal and egg being bathed in oil – each sandwich made to order. Coming up is mine.
From a mobile street vendor, setup in front of a primary school in District 3, Ho Chi Minh City. Such setups have very high turnover due to hundreds of hungry school kids.
