Lemon custard tart
A nice break from the fish (but for once, I don’t mind!) This tart was a nice end to the seafood-dominated dinner. Simple, sweet dessert. At Greenback’s Eatery, Lord Howe Island
Pan roasted Kingfish
Lord Howe Kingfish of course, served on roasted pumpkin mash with pomegranate cous cous and fresh garden salsa. Flavours bursting at the seams it seems. At Greenback’s Eatery, Lord Howe Island
Lord Howe Kingfish Carpaccio
With toasted fennel seeds, chilli flakes, olive oil, lemon and lime juice and fresh mint. These guys pride themselves in delivering hook to cook. So fresh. At Greenback’s Eatery, Lord Howe Island
Lord Howe Kingfish Sashimi
With soy, wasabi and pickled ginger. I think I prefer the carpaccio, but this sashimi was still good – no fishiness at all. At Greenback’s Eatery, Lord Howe Island
Thomo’s Burger with the lot
Nice burger on a beautiful day with the most beautiful of company. From Thomo’s Burger bar at Thompson’s General Store, Lord Howe Island
Herb crusted Lord Howe Island blue eye cod
With potato and zucchini puree, and finger lime and lemon butter. At Pinetrees, Lord Howe Island
