Try It Out Restaurant

Who knows what the inspiration for the name is but apparently this is one of the more authentic Vietnamese restaurants in Auckland. The price is right and so is the service, which is to say it is abrupt and otherwise non-existent but the food was pretty good.

The combination vermicelli (bún đặc biệt) was right on but the seafood udon-like noodle soup (bánh canh) was anything but udon-like. It wasn’t vermicelli but it was an awkward halfway size noodle like that used in bún bò huế (huế style spicy noodle soup)
